Chime
KeroKero Chime is a show that ran on television in Japan from March 6,1997 -
September 25, 1997 for a total of 30 episodes. Princess Mimori lives in the Magical Land
of Frogs.
Aoi is a boy Mimori
meets from the Human World. He's the first human in the Magical Land since the
battle with the snakes, long ago.
Aoi explains how he
came to be in her world. One day, while running late to school, he met a strange man named
Michael, who splashed Aoi with cursed water, turning Aoi into a frog. He was then
tossed through a portal in a tree trunk, channeling him to the Magical Land. When
dry, Aoi maintains his human form, but when he comes into contact with water, he turns
back into a frog.
Upon hearing his story, Mimori sets out to lift
the spell from Aoi, but finds the pages to reverse the spell missing from the Book of
Magic.
After consulting with the Frog
Elder, they set out to recover the missing pages of the Magic Book to remove Aoi's curse
and to recover magic that has been lost for many years, magic that was used by the king
and queen to banish the snakes from the Magical Land long ago.
Wasabi Anime is working to translate and subtitle
this wonderful series for
our local San Diego showings, and will
